Our employee assistance program, Resources for Living, is designed for anyone who needs a little help managing life events, big or small. You and anyone in your household up to the age of 26 can take advantage of free one-on-one counseling through the program’s confidential hotline at 786-466-8377. Counseling is available by phone, text message, or video conference. MyStrength is a mobile tool offering customized resources. Members can improve their emotional health, enjoy interactive activities, and become inspired by quotes and videos

The Employee Wellness Clinic is available in suite 1103 in the East tower of the Jackson Medical Towers on the Jackson Memorial Medical Center campus. The clinic provides same-day services for minor illnesses and injuries.

AvMed’s Personal health assessment (PHA) is an online tool that helps you understand your current health status. By completing the confidential questionnaire, you will receive a personalized scorecard including recommendations and resources to help you target possible risks while saving on healthcare costs.

AvMed’s SmartShopper is an incentive and engagement program that is intended to help guide you to the best, most affordable medical options.

Available to all Jackson employees and their covered dependents enrolled in Jackson health insurance plans, telehealth virtual visits, powered by MDLIVE® provides remote access to board-certified doctors 24/7.

AvMed collaborates with Weight Watchers to help you take that important step toward losing weight, eating right, and living healthy. The Weight Watchers Program offers a tailored approach to help modify lifestyles by providing nutritional counseling to help members lose and/or manage their weight.

CHIP is a FREE program that is designed to help reduce disease risk factors by educating, motivating, and empowering our caregivers to choose evidence-based health habits and achieve long-term lifestyle changes. Specific goals include reducing high cholesterol, normalizing blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and improving body mass index (BMI) by improving dietary choices, enhancing daily exercise, increasing support systems, and decreasing stress.

Wellness Wednesdays offer the best practices and resources in health and wellness in a supportive and user friendly format. Every third Wednesday of the month, massage therapists visit units throughout the health system for a four-hour in-service.

The Wheel of Wellness is an annual, voluntary wellness program designed to motivate and improve your well-being by offering a cash incentive for the completion of eligible activities.

Jackson staff members have FREE access to the SoFi at Work financial wellness dashboard. The dashboard offers a variety of useful tools and information, including rate discounts on student loan refinancing and guidance for handling personal finances.
