Jackson Achieves Triennial Joint Commission Accreditation

On June 21, 2021, Joint Commission surveyors arrived at Jackson Health System to conduct a triennial systemwide survey.

The onsite survey was originally expected to take place in 2020, but was postponed due to restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Using enhanced technology, observing safe physical distancing, and wearing the required personal protective equipment were part of the new process.

Although the staff had to work through these intricacies, the surveyors were were impressed by the excellent care and services provided by our world-class employees.

Joint Commission accreditation is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. The survey result is a validation of the exceptional care we provide, and highlights the role each team member plays to give our patients and visitors the best possible experience while in our facilities.Thank you for what you do each and every day.

UHealth Jackson Urgent Care Centers Receive Autism Friendly Designation

UHealth Jackson Urgent Care centers partnered with University of Miami-Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD) to achieve their autism-friendly designation—the first in Florida. This designation means that our staff—at all five of our locations—have been specially trained and all of our centers have a specially-designated sensory-friendly exam room to give all patients the opportunity to experience healthcare in a safe and controlled environment.
