The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day. Jackson Health System is proud to be a DAISY Award Partner, recognizing our nurses with this special honor.

DAISY Award honorees personify Jackson Health System’s CARE values. These nurses consistently demonstrate care through their clinical expertise and their compassionate behavior. They are recognized as outstanding role models in our nursing community. This year, the program honored several nurses across all Jackson facilities with the prestigious DAISY Award.

Rose Awards for Clinical Support Staff

The ROSE Award is a recognition program that rewards and celebrates clinical support staff who exemplify extraordinary service in the performance of their job. The ROSE Award was established for our clinical support staff to align with the DAISY award for extraordinary nurses. Jackson Health System is proud to recognize our clinical support staff with this special honor.

Patients, nurses, physicians, employees, co-workers, and hospital administrators can make nominations for extraordinary performance. Selection criteria is based on more than an employee doing the essential functions of their job—it is going above and beyond the call of duty and being exemplary in their performance.

Nursing Support Ladder

The nursing support ladder was created to assist in the retention of multiple job classifications in the nursing support function, as well as encourage, promote, and reward excellence in this clinical practice. One of the main benefits of job leveling and consolidating multiple roles of the same function is to help employees understand exactly what is expected in a particular role, how they fit into the organization, and what they need to do for career growth.

Job leveling helps prevent employee dissatisfaction and confusion around job roles and responsibilities and boosts employee engagement by clearly outlining the purpose and expectations needed to reach the next level.
